Besides the fact that the Brazilian market shows a very impressive growth and development, and besides the fact that the market shows excellent prospects for the (near) future, it has the demographic factors that make the difference!

Brazil is one of the few countries in the world that is energy-independent, because of the natural oil reserve and the country’s ethanol program. Besides that, it holds the largest supply of fresh water in the world; it has a broad range of seemingly unlimited natural resources, a large percentage of arable land and a great climate. The growing economy, strong currency and stable government have focused the world on Brazil.

I have experienced it from the inside, having lived here for the last two years. And I have become very impressed with the professional way Brazilian organizations are operating. They have adopted- or are adopting- Lean manufacturing, they work according to the principles of Kaizen, are focused on preserving the environment and invest heavily in the development of their society.

People have more money to spend and the difference between rich and poor is declining fast. Brazil’s Medium Class population has grown to 46% in the last year.

I really didn’t realize it before I moved here, but Brazil doesn’t have a very positive reputation in some parts of the world. Besides the obvious issues like corruption and violence in the major cities, it is most likely because of the thousands of Brazilians that went abroad in recent years, looking for better living conditions, and perhaps causing some problems or disappearing in illegality.

Now, most people you will meet in Brazil have good intentions. But when you are coming to this country with money to spend or to invest, it is not difficult to run into people who will want to abuse this for their own gain, rather than to assist you in the best possible way in reaching your goals.

In the past two years I have been able to build a very good network of reliable partners. Trustable people who care about establishing long lasting (business) relationships. Experts in their field, who can offer you their knowledge, connections products and support.

And on the other hand I have met many people from Europe and the US, who are getting aware of the opportunities and are waiting for the right way and time to start effectuating their investments in Brazil. The main reason for them to hesitate is the factor of trust and confidence in their future partners that they are lacking. Normal of course, when you want to move your business into a new market.
